Approval FAQ
(EC- or ECE approval)
The EC- or ECE-approvals are the European replacement of our old German vehicle type approval. As long as the approval is carried along with you, and the number on the letter is the same as on the component, you can move it legal on the streets free of registration.
An EC- or ECE-approval is a confirmation for car components, that they comply with the statutory building registration and equate with the original parts. So, if you drive an exhaust system with an EC-approval, you can move it legal on the streets without any concerns.
The exhaust systems of Bull-X have an EC-approval in principal. At the EGO-X exhaust systems, even valve controlled exhaust systems has got an EC-approval. But only in combination with our Bull-X Tronic unit.
The Bull-X Tronic is like a brain for the EGO-X valve systems. When it´s installed at your cars CAN-BUS system, it recognizes parameters like speed, wheel sensor, engine speed and so on within milliseconds.
Because of these values, the Bull-X Tronic unit closes the valve automatically in the ECE compliant range. Like this, the system keeps the official dB values.

The intercooler, air intakes, or charge pipes of HF-series mostly have a Part certificate.
Part certificate
A part certificate is a sort of an approval for car components (especially tuning parts). To avoid an incorrect installation, or to see if a product is legal, the converted car needs to be presented at the TÜV/DEKRA. In this case, the agreement of the part with the car is checked. If the acceptance test is made by the TÜV/DEKRA examiner, the car can be moves legal on the streets again.
