Those who do not develop, fall by the wayside...

With this in mind, we have continuously expanded, improved and optimized the possibilities and resources of our production and development in recent years.

This is best reflected in the fundamental areas of our development:
- the research
- the development
- the testing

The research
At the beginning of every new article or component developed by us, research is the first priority - research on the original component. What has been solved unfavorably, prevents an effective increase in performance or can simply be better designed?

To answer these questions, it has become essential to have the corresponding component available as a 3D model. The fact that vehicle manufacturers do not necessarily throw around such 3D files of their components should be obvious.

That is why our hardware pool for research & development contains a 3D-Scanner of the brand CREAFORM. With this hand scanner a component can be scanned with an accuracy of up to 0.050mm. This corresponds to a volumetric accuracy of 0.020 mm + 0.200 mm/m. There are no limits to the size of the component.

or further processing of the 3D scan we use the 3D-CAD Software SOLIDWORKS in the latest version. The intuitive handling of this program in combination with features such as load and fracture simulation, output of files in all common industry standard formats as well as the easy change between 3D and 2D surfaces make this program a must for us.

flowsimulation

The development
Solidworks also forms the link to development. With the add-on "Flowsimulation" we can perform external or internal flow simulation with any existing 3D model and even simulate temperature expansions in combination with flows. This enables us to visualize flow and pressure conditions even before production begins and to optimize the product to be developed accordingly. The prototyping, although in most cases only for checking the dimensional accuracy, is carried out at our company with a MASSPORTAL PHARAO XD40 3D-printer. The Delta printer is characterized by the highest precision, high reliability and high-quality printing results. By using different 3D printing filaments, we can even produce flexible hoses in this process.

The Testing
The final step in the realization of a new product is testing. In the direct comparison between OEM part and prototype / end product we use among others a Flowbench from FLOWIMPROVER. This can be used to measure the CFM value of a component in a very short time, i.e. the amount of air that flows through the component in a given time. Even the smallest of factors (scoring, joint edges, windings or tapers) can have a considerable effect.

The spearhead of our test facilities, however, is our MAHA MSR500/2 all-wheel dyno. It can be used to measure any type of vehicle, whether front, rear or all-wheel drive, and the eddy current brake allows the simulation of any load condition scenario. Due to the modernity of the test bench, electrically or hybrid driven vehicles can also be measured. By means of high-precision sensor technology, the charge air temperature before and after the radiator, the exhaust back pressure and much more can be measured and evaluated.
