This aluminium pressure pipe from the intercooler to the throttle valve for all listed 2.0 TSI Euro 6 engines of the MQB evo platform replaces the original part made of hard plastic.
The larger pipe diameter of 60mm inner diameter > OEM only 53.7mm in combination with the flow-optimised design and the elimination of the stiffening struts* ensures an increased air flow rate of 287.9cfm (measured by flow bench).
The CAD-designed SUV flange is designed for a significantly higher preload of the sealing piston, which in turn reliably prevents boost pressure leaks.

The standard part consists of a bonded plastic tube. Under the influence of time, temperature and pressure, the material becomes brittle and cracked. This results in broken connections or burst pressure lines. Not only annoying due to the defect, but also a great danger to the turbocharger and engine.
