ECU spacer Ford Focus ST Mk.2 225HP

This plastic spacer for the Ford Focus ST mk2 is mounted between the engine control unit and air filter box.

This has the effect that the control unit is lifted, thus moves out of the air flow and the previously existing constriction is no longer present and more air flow can take place.

The cooling of the engine control unit is not affected by this, by bypassing this constriction is a performance increase of up to +7 hp and more torque erziehlt.

The effect is particularly noticeable in performance-enhanced vehicles.
