Do you want to get more power out of your turbocharged engine?

Downpipes are a significant part for torque range and power in a turbocharged system. They are the connection between the turbocharger and the catback exhaust.
The bigger the diameter of the downpipe and the passage of the catalyst, the easier the turbocharger is able to discharge the processed exhaust gases. This has a positove effect on the torque and the power. Because of this, the soand will be "dull and pithy".

This downpipe is perfect for production and upgraded vehicles. As a result of the shoring, an increase in performance, better response and lower exhaust gas temperatures can be recorded.

Note: For hand switches, we recommend that you also select the optional torque arm. Attention: This is not suitable for vehicles with DSG!

The advantages at a glance:
- an extra power resulting from the fact that the turbocharger can leads away the exhaust gases more easily
- more torque, as the turbocharger's exhaust gas turbine reaches higher speeds faster, as a higher exhaust mass can be dissipated by the sports catalyst (lower exhaust backpressure)
- thermal relief of the turbocharger and the surroanding components through the flow-optimized design with a larger cross-section
- no flow-resistant edges at the inlet of the downpipe because of the stainless steel casting flange we used
- pipe diameter: upper part 3,5"/89mm and lower part 3“/76mm
- *optionally without cat, incl. 100-cell sports cat, incl. 200-cell sports cat, with Bull-X 200-cell EOBD sports cat by HJS or with 200-cell HJS sports cat incl. ECE type approval
- perfect compensation of the motor tilting movements because of the use of the flexible tube with interlock technology used here (150 mm long flexible tube, which prevents the interlocking of the braid, provides additional stability and optimizes the exhaust system)

- made of brushed stainless steel TIG welded
- incl. adapter to the OEM exhaust system

 

After mounting, an adaptation of the tolerance value of the probe behind the catalyst is usually required, unless a variant including operating permit is selected. Without ECE catalysts not permitted in the area of the German STVZO!

Catalyst information

When selecting a downpipe without a catalytic converter or with a 100/200-cell catalytic converter, there may be an error message of the post-catalytic lambda sensor in the control unit, which does not lead to restrictions in driving operation because the first lambda sensor end is present for the motor control. The post-cat Sensor is only responsible for monitoring the effect of the catalyst. This can be programmed out by adapting the software from a chip tuner.

With most cars up to Euro 3 Emission code, there is no post-cat Sensor and installation is possible without further adjustment and error message.

The wash coat content of HJS ECE and EOBD Kats is significantly higher and is characterized by a very high oxygen storage capacity, which means that errors can be avoided. The EOBD Kats are tested for this topic up to Euro 4. The durability and the use up to the Euro 6 exhaust-gas standard is of course given.
For Euro 5/6 vehicles, the above points can only be avoided if a cat with an ECE selection is made.
